The Essex Inn delights its guests and the public with a delectable cuisine and charming atmosphere. Chef John prepares both leisurely breakfasts, lunches, and sumptuous candle lit dinners. In winter, dine before an open fire in one of our two elegant dining rooms. In warmer weather, dine at a secluded garden table or on the front veranda. Reservations are suggested and appreciated.

with your stay at the Inn, and open to the public for lunch and dinner enjoy a dining experience you won't soon forget. Our restaurant is equipped with a full liquor license. The cuisine is prepared by Chef John Walker, owner of The Essex Inn, who trained at the Culinary Institute of America. The Inn has a variety of regular dishes and nightly specials. Only the freshest seafood is offered daily, along with our delectable in-house made desserts displayed on our dessert tray by your server. Our signature dish the Essex Inn Apple Crisp, served warm and topped with vanilla ice cream, has delighted many a guest. Why not finish your meal with an espresso, cappuccino, or one of our other delicious coffee drinks. We also have a little folks menu, and the best pizza in the North Country!
